Wen mint? The answer to that question and all the information you need regarding Mint 1 have arrived. As a reminder, we will have 3 mint events for Wreck League Season 1 in collaboration with Yuga Labs. Mints 2 and 3 details will follow later this year.

Meanwhile, you’ll need a lot of super-crucial information to prepare for Mint 1, and it’s all right here!

MINT 1 DETAILS

The opportunity to purchase Wreck League’s Genesis Mint boxes will open August 17 at 9 AM PT (Pacific Time) on Wreck League’s mint site. In order to participate in Mint 1, you must register and be approved to join the Allowlist, which ends on August 15 at 11:59 PM PT.

PRE-QUEUE: AUGUST 17 @ 8:30AM PT to AUGUST 17 @ 9:00AM PT

Starting at 8:30 AM PT on minting day, you’ll be able to enter the Pre-Queue (managed via Queue-It). At 9:00 AM PT, Queue-It will randomly assign queue positions to those in the pre-queue. Anyone who enters the mint after the queue has been formed at 9:00AM PT will be placed at the back of the queue, behind those who pre-queued, so we highly recommend you’re at the mint site at 8:30 am PT on August 17.

MINT OPEN: AUGUST 17 @ 9:00 AM PT to AUGUST 18 @ 9:00 AM PT

Mint 1 will be live for 24 hours, meaning you will have 24 hours to mint your boxes. The sale will close promptly at the end of the 24-hour period, or when the collection sells out — whichever comes first.

ALLOWLIST CLOSE & SNAPSHOT: AUGUST 15 @ 11:59 PM PT

In order to be eligible for Mint 1, you must register for the allowlist before the allowlist closes on August 15, 11:59PM PT. You can register until this date, but we will be locking the applications and approved Allowlist at that time. You can check if you have been approved for the Allowlist by heading to the allowlist site and connecting your wallet that you KYC’d with.

Also, it’s important to note that in order to get the rarity boost for the boxes at mint you need to have your Koda NFT in your wallet at the time of our Snapshot, which happens after the close of our Allowlist, between Aug 16, 00:00~01:00am PST. Also note that the Founders Box claim is per Koda (if you have 3 Kodas, you get 3 Founders Boxes), but the mint benefit (rarity boost) is per wallet. Your KYC’d wallet holding the Koda, or KYC’d hot wallet delegated from your cold wallet holding the Koda during the Snapshot should make all your box purchases eligible for the rarity boost at mint.

HOW TO PREPARE

You can only purchase boxes in the Wreck League Genesis Mint using ApeCoin, so ensuring you have ApeCoin in the wallet with which you’re minting is crucial. Please note that, as is common with most mints, you will also need some ETH in your wallet in order to cover any gas fees during the Genesis Mint.

You can purchase ApeCoin in a variety of ways, including:

  • Purchasing it on a centralized exchange, such as Binance or Coinbase
  • Purchasing it on a decentralized exchange, such as Uniswap or 1inch
  • Purchasing it using Fiat via Transak via BUYAPE from your connected wallet, which you can do from the Wreck League website

You must mint using the same wallet you connected to the Allowlist. Warm wallets will be supported. Be sure you are minting with the same wallet you used to join the Allowlist!

WHAT’S AVAILABLE ON THE MINT DATE?

During the Genesis Mint, you’ll have the option to purchase two types of boxes: Majestic and Booster boxes.

A Majestic box contains 10 random parts you can use to assemble a full mech from scratch. A Booster box contains 5 random mech parts you can use to augment an existing mech or apply toward building a new mech. Together, the boxes add an element of surprise and chance to the collecting experience: purchasing 1 Majestic box guarantees you 10 parts to create a mech, while purchasing 2 Booster boxes guarantees you 10 parts…but not necessarily the 10 parts needed to assemble a mech. (You may get 3 heads, for example)

BOX SUPPLY BY MINT SALE

The total quantity of boxes available in the Genesis Mint (Mint 1) is 25,000 Majestic boxes and 5,000 Booster boxes. Majestic boxes will be priced at 150 APE$. Booster boxes will be priced at 50 APE$.

FOR KODA HOLDERS…

During the Genesis Mint, Koda holders (meaning, those who hold a decoupled Koda in their wallet when we take a snapshot at 11:59PM PT on Aug 15) will receive rarity-boosting benefits. If they choose to join the Allowlist and participate in the mint by purchasing a box (or boxes), they automatically have a chance to receive a higher-rarity-tier box.

The rarity of this box is not revealed until a week after the mint, so hold on to your box if you were rarity-boosted by being a Koda holder.

A few weeks after the mint, Koda holders will be able to claim a free Founders box for each Koda they own.

LET’S TALK ABOUT RARITY

RARITY SPECTRUM OF BOXES

Rarity in Wreck League boxes ranges from Common to Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Yuga tiers. The chart below outlines the available boxes by rarity tier.

Note: You will only have a chance for Yuga Mech Parts in Yuga Rarity Majestic Boxes

RARITY PARTS SPECTRUM

The rarity of a box determines the rarity spectrum of its contents. In other words, the parts fall across a rarity spectrum that corresponds to the rarity of the box you opened.

For example, if you opened a Legendary Majestic box, you can expect 5 Legendary parts, 3 Epic parts, and 2 Rare parts. The only exceptions are the Common boxes for both Majestic and Booster boxes, which contain all parts of the common rarity. The table below illustrates what the rarity composition of the parts look like for each box’s rarity type.

Note: You will only have a chance for Yuga Mech Parts in Yuga Rarity Majestic Boxes

STEPS FROM MINTING TO PLAYING

When you mint your boxes, they will be blind, meaning you won’t know the rarity tier of the box you own. However, the boxes will remain in your wallet, and you can sell or trade them as you see fit. But do so at your own risk. You could be selling away a high-rarity box!

On August 24, 2023, the rarity of the boxes will be revealed and holders learn the rarity composition of the parts in your box. This is when you’ll know if you minted a lower-tier, like a Common, or higher-tier, like a Legendary. (Click HERE for more on rarity tiers.) You won’t be able to open your boxes and check out your parts yet, but again, you’ll know their tier rating and can sell or trade them.

On September 14, 2023, anyone holding boxes are free to open them and bask in the warm glow of their contents, if they so choose. Again, you do not have to open your boxes and can hold onto them for future trade or sale purposes. Upon opening a box, the box NFT itself will be burned, and the parts inside become available in your wallet, visible in the My Parts section of the website. Players can then use the parts to assemble their mechs in the Garage section of our website and use the mechs to battle other players in our first game event: Mez’i’s Mayhem.

ROLLOUT TIMELINE (all dates 2023)

August 17 — Mint Blind Boxes

Join the mint and purchase a box or boxes. Boxes are blind at this stage, meaning you won’t know the rarity, but you can sell or trade them.

August 25 — Box Rarity Reveal

The rarity of the boxes is revealed, ranging from Common to Legendary or Yuga. You can’t open boxes at this point, but you can sell or trade them.

September 14 — Box Opening Day

Choose to open your boxes and check out your parts or leave them unopened to keep, sell, or trade if you wish. Once a box is opened, the box NFT itself will be burned and the claimed parts will appear in your wallet.

Remember: Boxes do not open automatically! You decide whether or not to open them on or after September 14.

September 14 — Build Your Mechs

Once you’ve claimed the parts and they show up in your wallet, you can use them in the Garage to assemble mechs that you’ll take to battle against other players. The more mech parts you own, the more you can customize and create more powerful mechs that match your fighting style, and are best suited to take on other players’ creations.

September 14 — Enter the Tournament

Once you’ve built your mechs, get ready to enter the tournaments and dominate the leaderboard by becoming one of the greatest wreckanics in the league. Remember: the more mechs you own doesn’t just diversify that which you can bring to battle, It also allows you more access to exclusive game events and arenas, as well as advantages tied to future mints and claims.

Don’t worry Apes and Kennel holders, your turn will be up later this year in Mint 2 and Mint 3, with the same benefits.

Q3 2023

Mint 2 — MAYC and BAKC holders get a rarity boost when buying and can claim a Founder’s Box.

Q4 2023

Mint 3 — BAYC holders get a rarity boost when buying and can claim a Founder’s Box.

ALL ABOUT THE KODA CLAIM

After the Genesis Mint (a.k.a. Mint 1), Wreck League is offering special incentives for Koda holders to obtain a higher-tiered box at mint, as well as a special claim following the mint sale. During this claim period, Koda owners can claim a free Founders Box for each Koda they own.

WEN KODA CLAIM? August 31, 2023

Koda holders can claim their free Founders Box starting August 31, 2023, which is guaranteed to contain a Founders Mech. This mech is unlike other mechs. It comes fully built out of the box and not eligible for disassembly. However, it will be pre-assembled with 10 random parts from the full Mint 1 offering and grant you access to play the game on Day 1.

HOW TO PREPARE

As a Koda holder, here’s what you need to do to get ready for the claim. Note that you do not need to KYC if you just want the Founders Mech claim.

  • Koda NFTs that qualify for claim are the decoupled Kodas.
  • Kodas must be in your wallet at the time of the claim for verification.
  • ETH is needed to cover any gas fees when claiming.
  • Otherside Koda NFT — Only holders with a Koda can participate in the first Claim.

WHAT YOU GET

You get 1 Founders Box with a random rarity tier for each Koda NFT in your wallet at the time of the claim on August 31. The first claim is for decoupled Koda NFTs only and we will have claims for MAYC, BAKC, and BAYC claims in mints 2 and 3.

Box Supply by Claim

The Founder Box is supplied by the total number of Otherside Koda NFTs, and you can check the total quantity of Koda NFTs in OpenSea. Also, you can’t proceed with the claim again with Koda NFTs that have already completed the claim, so you will be able to check eligibility on our site during the claim period.

A small amount of ETH is required as a network transaction fee to make a claim.

RARITY SPECTRUM OF THE FOUNDERS’ BOXES

There are 6 rarities for the Founder Boxes: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Yuga.

Each of these boxes contains a Founders Mech also with the same 6 rarity tiers. For instance, if you were able to get an Epic Founders Box, the box will contain an Epic Founders Mech.

Each Founders Mech is composed of different types of parts, but they cannot be disassembled back to parts. Founder Mech rarities break down as such:

  • Common Founder Mech is composed of all Common parts
  • Uncommon Founders Mech consists of 5 Common and 5 Uncommon parts
  • Rare Founders Mech has 2 Common Parts, 3 Uncommon parts, and 5 Rare parts
  • Epic Founders Mech comprises 2 Uncommon, 3 Rare, and 5 Epic parts
  • Legendary Founders mech is made of 2 Rare, 3 Epic, and 5 Legendary parts
  • Yuga Founders Mech has 2 Epic, 3 Legendary, and 5 Yuga parts.

There are 2 types of Founders Mech for each rarity tier. For each rarity there is a Founders Mech composed of random parts, and a Founders Mech that is a Curated Set. For instance, an Epic Founders Mech composed of random parts includes 2 Uncommon, 3 Rare, and 5 Epic parts that are all randomly assembled. An Epic Founders Mech, that is a Curated Set, will be composed of all 10 Epic parts, as a cohesive set designed by our developers — e.g. a full Legendary PRIME-8 Rifle set, or a Full Koda Drillfist set consisting of all 10 parts of the same rarity. Founders Mechs with random composition make up 95% of the Founders Mech collection, while the Curated Sets make up 5% of the collection.

FOUNDERS BOX AND FOUNDERS MECH LOCK-UP

Both Founders boxes and Founders mechs are locked up and restricted from trading when you claim them. Founders boxes also differ from other boxes in that they automatically open and convert to Founders mechs on September 14, the designated box opening date.

Once a Founders mech is accessible, players can immediately use it for gameplay in both training mode and the game event Mezi’s Mayhem. In order to unlock and enable trading of a Founders mech, you must win at least 3 battles using the mech in a live match in one of our game events. Please note that Founder Mechs are in a pre-made frozen state and cannot be disassembled or upgraded, whereas custom mechs that users build using individual parts can be disassembled and upgraded by upgrading their individual parts.
